Now photographer Lee Gannon, of East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, has ventured inside to capture incredible images of the sad fall of a building once wonderful. A picture shows a big, big old fireplace that has been left to rot, with MOSS and moisture covering his brick and red tile begins to peel and they fall. Another photograph shows a large door wood that had been neglected, with dirt and moisture in the soil and exposed wires. One of the snaps of Lee, shows the rotten floor and brickruins of what would have been a room occupied, with the roof crumbled, leaving the space exposed to the elements. What is left of the roof can be seen at another time, showing the intricate detail and lights that have become mildew and discolored. Signs of fire exits hang insome of the rooms, while the Fund has begun to peel from the dampwalls. A photo of antique Cabinet shows that he is thought to once have contained records of patients while another shows an old battered door marked dining room staff. Lee also captured the Windows ascent although stain glass original designs remain at the bottom of them. Another image shows the dangerous condition of the building, with a corridor filled with rubble next to exposed brick and below rotting on the ceiling beams. Fond of photography, Lee, said: "used to bea beautiful building within photos last so that was something that was worth check out. '" However when I arrived, she seems severely damaged and many of the rooms had collapsed, felt very insecure in some points.' interior architecture still looked great had huge fireplacesin some rooms and felt very wooden.

The fact of a children's hospital was too whichmakes a bit more horrifying.'Seafield was originally built for and designed by Sir William Arrol, the engineer behind the Forth rail bridge before it was used by the British Red Cross in the last years of the firstworld war to wounded soldiers. In 1921, it was first used as a maternity hospital and child welfare before it became a Pediatric Unit in 1944, which remained until 1991.In May 1959, Princess Margaret visitedSeafield to open a new gallery of long stay patients orthopedic.
